Our Mission

Convey's mission is to build an all-round, accessible toolkit for learning Jamaican Sign Language; designed for real people, real lives, and real learning. Through thoughtfully designed resources like activity books, flashcards, our website, and future mobile tools, we help learners understand proper hand shapes, movements, facial expressions, and body language essential to effective communication in JSL. Our approach supports both digital and traditional learners and is intentionally easy to use, even for those who are not tech-savvy.

We collaborate closely with the Deaf community, educators, and families to ensure everything we create is culturally relevant, accurate, and meaningful. As a self-funded initiative aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals—particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities). We are committed to empowering individuals and fostering a more inclusive Jamaica, one sign at a time.
